Let me ask you a quick question. Would there ever come a time when McDonald's would stop advertising their hamburgers? Would the corporate staff sit down one day and just make the statement like: "ok, we are the most advertised hamburger shop in the world. Everyone in almost every country in the world knows who we are. Now, we can stop advertising and just start making more hamburgers!" Do you seriously think that this would ever happen?

How about Wal-Mart. Would they ever stop advertising and just keep on rolling back their prices? Well obviously this would be something very stupid for them to do, and it would just not happen. No matter the mood of the country, the depression at hand, an impending catastrophe of world proportions, companies simply keep on advertising no matter what!

So now, I have to ask you a question. You may be some type of business owner. Would you just simply quit advertising your business one day on the Internet? Would you ever have enough business, enough sales, enough exposure or enough customers? The fact of the matter is that many who enter into the hallowed halls of business online seem to think that taking a one time shot, and buying Google pay per click advertising is all that is needed in order to advertise their business. They seem to think that some Indian programmer has created some type of software where all the magic can be done for them for a small price. These are the people that I created my site for: http://igsdt.com because you know, you really cannot fix stupid, right?

We offer what no one else on the Internet offers. Real time advertising, marketing and all phases of marketing research are taught here, for the low price of just $54.95 per month! When its time to climb off the get rich quick bandwagon and get serious about your business, simply fill in the form and I will help you to get started.

Small Business

A small business is a business that is privately owned and operated, with a small number of employees and relatively low volume of sales. Small businesses are normally privately owned corporations, partnerships, or sole proprietorships. The small business industry is seen as a vital part of the overall economy of the US and the world as well; however, these dedicated types of entrepreneurs face daily challenges, in that they are not necessarily rewarded for their willingness to live their lives differently than others. They face insurmountable problems in marketing, advertising and the whole process of growing that business model for maximum income.

Becoming a small business owner, such as a franchise, will mean countless hours of time and energy in the developing of the business to its full potential. It is a path that few can maintain for long, and according to statistics, the failure rate of small business owners is quite distressing.

In our pursuit of research and marketing, we try to uncover some of that mystery for our readers. We want to know the insider track concerning marketing, evaluation and advertising, and try to determine if there are ways to make this process better. We have found that failure rates can be primarily due to a couple of important factors.

Below are some of the reasons that we have uncovered about small business failures, and possible work around to that issue as well.

Location

Whether a small business is an offline business, or rather an up and coming Internet based business, location plays an integral part in that businesses ability to earn revenue. It has been said numerous times that location is the key to gaining customers, and exposing goods and services to a larger base. If a business in the offline world, such as a mom and pop convenience store, is located under the sign of a major player like Wal-Mart, they are going to have a very difficult time in competition, and will more than likely suffer a loss of revenue simply by having the wrong location.

The same rules apply to an Internet business. If there is no traffic on a high traffic keyword, and no one ever sees the business model, then surely, that business will drift into obscurity and will, no matter how it has been advertised as being the latest and greatest widget business, will simply face away into the shadows of obscurity, along with the other forgotten 90% of others who have tried the same path.

Advertising

Advertising, for offline business models like a franchise, will include media such as television, radio, billboards and in some cases, direct mailing campaigns. This can equate to millions of dollars, and should be considered a normal part of f doing business. Advertising is the key to effectively putting the message concerning goods and services in front of people who are searching for those services. It is vital to keep the business in front of people, or it will simply die with no interest over time.

Advertising for Internet based businesses is much the same way as offline, only the media is digital in nature. There are numerous ways to advertise, or promote an online business; however, some of them are more effective than others. Many choose to buy their way to customers by purchasing pay per click advertising. This method, in theory, is sound, and multi-trillions of dollars are spent by entrepreneurs annually. It can be a very effective manner to advertise a business; however, it is filled with some danger areas as well. Other vital ways to advertise an online business are article marketing, blogging, social media marketing, video production, audio podcasting and other means as well. This way of promoting a business on the Internet is a time intensive process, and most will not have the long term mindset thinking to stay with the model long enough for the business to turn into a profitable one. For those that do stay the course; however, the paybacks can be rich in rewards.

There will be more articles written on small businesses in the near future. We, the Internet Marketing Agency, will remain dedicated to the cause of providing our valued reader base, the best information possible concerning marketing and advertising.
